Meet Elle and Derek, a couple who crossed paths 13 years ago, bonding over their shared love of
food. Their journey together kicked off when they competed on "Food Truck Face Off", after
only knowing each other for five weeks. Eight years ago, they made the move to Durham,
seeking a simpler, outdoor lifestyle. As foodies at heart, they quickly recognized the need for
fast, delicious food in town that felt like a true community gathering space.

Derek, a trained chef with a background in pubs and fine dining, and Elle, a dynamic marketing
professional with boundless energy. They had such a blast on the show, and since then, they have
always talked about one day launching their own food truck. Though their passion for flavor and
innovation was clear - why not Durham. A great place to try new recipes, interact directly with
